From July 15 to 19, the International Carpet Exhibition of the 27th China Qinghai Green Development Investment and Trade Fair was held in Xining, Qinghai Province.

As an important platform for international exchange within the carpet industry, the exhibition brought together handmade carpets from China, Türkiye, Iran, India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other countries and regions.
Distinctive patterns, weaving traditions, and cultural influences converged at the exhibition, presenting the rich diversity of carpet art from around the world.
From the traditional motifs of Tibetan carpets to Persian and Turkish-inspired handmade rugs, each piece reflected the aesthetics of its place of origin while preserving craftsmanship passed down through generations.

During the exhibition, TJ Carpet presented a selection of hand-knotted silk and wool rugs, showcasing how traditional weaving techniques can be reinterpreted for contemporary interiors.
Among the exhibited works, the “Persian Dome” Hand-Knotted Silk Rug received the Bronze Carpet Award for its distinctive design concept, refined craftsmanship, and innovative interpretation of traditional artistic elements.

Inspired by the dome structures found in traditional architecture, the design transforms architectural balance and symmetry into the visual language of a rug.
Through the integration of color, pattern, and hand-knotting techniques, traditional cultural symbols are given renewed expression through silk, warp, and weft.
Yilong Carpet’s Turkish-inspired hand-knotted silk rugs also became a highlight of the exhibition. Their delicate silk texture and richly layered patterns attracted many visitors, who stopped to look closely, experience the rugs by touch, and capture photographs.

The conversations and recognition received during the exhibition further reinforced our belief in the importance of preserving and reimagining handmade carpet traditions.
A hand-knotted rug is more than a composition of color and pattern. It carries time, craftsmanship, cultural memory, and the hands of the artisans who created it.

Looking ahead, TJ Carpet will continue exploring the relationship between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary interiors, allowing every handmade rug to tell its own story through time, artistry, and space.
